Deepening and controlling your breathing is one of the most effective ways to calm the chaos.
One of the easiest techniques is called box breathing or four-square breathing.
You breathe in slowly for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, breathe out slowly for 4 seconds, and hold for 4 seconds.
This will help to calm and regulate your nervous system so that you can be less reactive and more in control.
