The Secret to Finding Presence Without Losing Everything You've Built in Business

Professional woman

If you zoomed out and looked at the full landscape of your life, everything you’re holding, managing, navigating, and showing up for...

If you really gave yourself the space to see the full picture: What’s taking your energy, where your time is going, how supported you feel (or don’t), what you’re saying yes to without question, and where your values may have quietly slipped out of view…

If you knew that simply bringing awareness to those things could be the beginning of a different kind of success…

One that would bring you more joy, more presence, more richness of experience in life beyond the finances…

Wouldn’t you make the choice to do things differently?

Because what causes people to fall behind in business is usually one of two things:

They give up because they don’t believe in themselves.

Or they burn out because they have nothing left to give.

That “once I get to this place, then I’ll change” mindset?  It’s keeping you stuck right where you are.

If you want to feel proud of what you’re building and present in your life while you do it, keep reading to learn how and what it takes to finally achieve it.

Before You Can Find Presence

So by now, you’ve got the building blocks (we talked about reclaiming what you’ve sacrificed to build what you have, then about how to stop leading with a business-first mentality).

You understand why you operate the way you do, why you think the way you think, and how your past experiences have shaped your present.

Two things, actually:

  1. Time.

  2. And the emotional and mental capacity to actually change.

But now it’s time to talk about the thing you crave the most, yet feel the most guilt about: Presence.

How to Find Presence Without Losing Your Success

For most of my clients, they're physically present with their families. They are “spending time” with them.

But mentally, they're still in work mode.

I remember hearing a story from a client once about her putting her child to bed.

She was going through the routine, reading a book to them and was physically there for that moment.

Yet, she realized later on that she was not even [mentally] in her body. She couldn’t remember what book we read. Couldn’t remember what the words were.

She was so focused on getting her child to bed so she could get back to work that she didn’t remember any of it.

For a lot of us, myself included, our lives become this blur where everything we do is blended together.

We know and have this internal intuitive knowing that this richness is more than just money.

But, right now your brain is wired to tell you that in order to fulfill your financial wants and needs, your business needs to look this way, your leadership needs to look this way, that is all you know, that is the data that you have.

So it's time for us to gather new data.

Evaluate Everything

If you want to be able to have presence in your life without falling behind in your business, there are things right now that you know you need to change.

There are things right now that you are actively avoiding and I want you to be honest about what those things are.

I want you to evaluate areas of your business:

  • Your team

  • You day-to-day operations

  • You to evaluate your support in your home

  • You to evaluate your calendar

  • Your commitments

Then look at your life:

  • The support you have (or don’t) at home

  • How your time is truly being spent

  • Where your values are (or aren’t) showing up

Set the Boundaries

Boundaries are how we protect ourselves.

They’re how we enforce our values and priorities.

And the truth is: You will never have the data to support a meaningful, joy-filled life unless you actually live it.

You don’t want to wake up one day with financial success, but regret never experiencing the life you were working so hard to fund.

We need better boundaries. We need better structure. And we need to keep our word to ourselves.

Structure. Systems. Support. Boundaries.

These are what create presence.

When you make a commitment and you decide I'm going to do things differently, I'm going to do things better, you will see that then your brain starts searching for solutions on how to make that happen.

So if you’re scared that:

  • You’ll lose momentum if you unplug

  • You’ll drop the ball if you slow down

  • You’re being pulled in too many directions and can’t shut your brain off

Here’s what I want you to know:

You do not have to choose between being a powerful CEO and a present mom. You just need better boundaries—not only with others, but with yourself.

Ready to Choose Presence and Success?

You deserve to wake up in the morning and feel excited about your work, proud of yourself, and present in each moment of your life. The weight that is lifted, emotionally and mentally, when you are able to fully be where you are is life-changing.

So I'm calling you into a big, bold choice today - to step out in fear, the exhaustion and the chaos to change the things that are not serving you.

Yes, it will be hard. It will be scary,

But, with the right changes (support and accountability don’t hurt either), you can build longevity and sustainability in both your professional and personal life.
